Siemens SiPass Integrated now supports 64bit versions of Microsoft SQL Server 2008. Previously only the 32-bit version of the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 was supported. The big benefit of using a 64bit version of the SQL Server is that more RAM can be utilized. This in turn increases the performance when (for instance) reports are run in SiPass integrated.

The tests to verify the SiPass integrated software have been performed on MP2.6 SP1 and SP2 using Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2. So the support for 64bit versions of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 is for SiPass integrated MP2.6 SP1 or later. The information letter supersedes the statement in the MP2.6 release notes where it says that only 32bit Microsoft SQL Server 2008 is supported.
